Klaster Brewery

They really know how to brew great beer in the Klaster brewery. The number of prizes, (ex.) for the Best Beer of the Year 1999, and the Best Brewer of 1999, proves it. The beer production in the Klaster brewery strictly follows the traditional recipes handed down to generations. The beer is made of deep-seated water, world-renowned barley and Saaz hops, it ferments and matures in the fermenting and storage cellars dug by monks from the Cistercian monastery in Plasy. 18m deep into a rock under the Klaster brewery buildings. The optimal temperature in the cellars ensures good clarification and saturation of the beer, which makes the beer matured and tangy in taste, with creamy foam. Great care is taken in the chosing of raw materials. The quality of the ecologically clean malt is carefully checked on purchase. They boil down hops from Žatec (Saaz), which has a fine aroma and provides the Klaster beer with its typical smell and flavor, so appreciated by beer lovers. The Klaster beer will satisfy even the most demanding customer who wishes to taste a traditional Czech beer.
